here’s the real question — does this app have all the drums that Neil Peart has in his setup?

Could I replicate his concert setup with this?

    Wow that’s amazing…adin

Here’s the real question – can you play like him with a setup like his? :-)

    • 4 adin July 26, 2009 at 8:18 am

      I wish!!

But I want to practice along with some of Neil’s solos, I figure the best chance I have is by using my iPhone. Heck of a lot cheaper than trying to build his setup in real life. ::grin::

I found the specific list of drums, cymbals, & cowbells in Neil’s setup if you’d like it.

Have you ever watched one of Neil’s solos? (I bet there’s some footage on youtube)

Actually, my company Sonic Reality has the exclusive rights to Neil Peart’s official kit samples and we could probably make a kit for Drum Meister. Ironically our series of software plug-ins is called Drum Masters! Haha. So it’s like a cousin. I love Drum Meisters. It’s fun. So someone should contact me asap and we can see about getting Neil’s kit sounds into this fun app. How about that? ;)

    Well there’s a killer feature!

Yes. But the Drum Meisters need to contact me asap to make this happen. I didn’t see where I can contact them so I am just posting it here. Kind of strange there’s no contact email on this site but… maybe I missed it! In any case, if you’re reading this Meisters please contact me. Thanks!

Why do the prerecorded beats stop after 2 minutes–they shoul loop continuously like a drum machine right?d

Weird that I didn’t get a response. I guess having Neil Peart’s kit playable from this app isn’t interesting to the Meister. I guess we’ll just make our own app then. You win some you lose some!

Well, in any case, the real deal is going to be Neil Peart for BFD and our Infinite Player plug-in which is for Mac and PC. That’s the real deal. iPhone apps are more for fun… I too like playing around with products like Drum Meister. But if you watch http://www.youtube.com/sonicreality you can see what I’m talking about.

it is weird that you didn’t get a reply. I bought this app specifically because it looked like y’all would be able to collaborate.

Can you drop me a mail at adin at adin dot name? I’d be interested in donating some of my systems engineering/testing/development experience to your upcoming projects…

Can you describe the exact symptom in more detail ?
